Hi! I'm Melody Moe, owner, trainer, and instructor at Trend Fitness. I grew up in a very active family and participated in organized sports from a young age. My love for sports and fitness  continued into my college years. In 2004, while competing as a college athlete in soccer, I became certified to teach group fitness classes, and so my journey began.


I now have had the pleasure of being a group fitness instructor for over a decade. Over the years I've received multiple certifications, worked at local gyms, and taught classes including bootcamp, cycling, kickboxing, PiYo, Pilates, yoga, TRX, and strength training classes to men and women of all fitness levels. In 2011, I took my passion one step further and became a Certified Personal Trainer. I’ve enjoyed motivating and encouraging clients in both groups and one-on-one and helping them make fitness a big part of their lives. Fitness is not just something you do, it is a lifestyle. My passion for fitness and helping others led me with the help of my husband to open Trend Fitness in 2015, where myself and our team of instructors and trainers work together to keep you moving!


If I'm not teaching, personal training, getting my own workout in, or simply keeping Trend Fitness moving forward, I am spending time with my family. I am a wife, and a mom to two wonderful children. Together as a family, we stay very active with running, biking, swimming, hiking, and recreational sports - this winter we introduced snowboarding to the kids! It's such a joy in life to be able to share my passion of health and fitness with my own family and enjoy all there is about life. I’ve always enjoy challenging and pushing myself, and over the past 10 years I've completed multiple 5K runs, a 1/2 marathon, a sprint triathlon, and an OCR. I hope to continually grow and improve upon myself and encourage you to do the same!

Playing softball growing up was always my favorite way to stay active!

Everyone in my family played some type of baseball/softball, so our Summers were pretty much spent at the ball diamond~ which is still how it is today~and I love it.

I also cheered for 3 years in high school (and had a love/hate relationship with conditioning ;)

Once I graduated high school, the college food and lack of motivation definitely made it harder to stay fit.  Although we had nice facilities, I just found it hard to go workout and crush it on my own. After a few years, the weight kept creeping on & as the saying goes, “old habits die hard”.

When I came across Trend Fitness in early 2018, I was really excited to find a gym that offered such a variety of classes- and the atmosphere was so welcoming!  With all the positivity from the instructors & members, I decided it was finally time to get myself back on track, making healthier choices, and just feeling better about me (both physically & mentally).

Now, I am thrilled to be working at Trend as a Group Fitness Instructor & helping others reach their health & fitness goals, while also sharing that journey with them :)

In 2001, I started my fitness journey with workout DVDs and weight lifting in my husband's garage home gym. Over a decade later, my love for fitness brought me to a place in life where I had the opportunity to become a Group Fitness Instructor with the goal of empowering others to fall in love with exercise by making it fun.  I have been a licensed Zumba Instructor since 2012 - I am licensed to teach Zumba, Zumba Toning, Zumba Gold, and Zumba Kids.  At the end of 2016, I obtained a license to teach Pound Fitness and found another fun format to teach and share with others, and most recently in 2018 I became certified to teach Barre. When I'm not teaching classes and practicing routines, my world revolves around my family; I have been married to my high school sweetheart for 18 years and we have 6 children together.  I am passionate about giving my Group Fitness participants a fun, effective workout and look forward to seeing you in class!

My name is Michelle, I am a mother of two beautiful girls. I started my fitness journey when I was 29. I started with running around the block and then working my way up. Eventually I signed up for my first 5k. My love and passion for fitness kept growing from there. I enjoy trying all kinds of workouts and seeing how far I can push myself. My favorite challenges are tough mudders. I started with doing the half mud run and this past summer worked my way up to the full tough mudder. My favorite hobbies are riding my road bike, kayaking and paddle boarding. Anything outside and active I love to do it. I never thought I would be the girl that ran for fun however I am happy I have found this passion. My girls enjoying being active and learning how to work out with me. It's a joy to be able to teach and share healthy life choices with them and others.

Hi Everyone! I’m Sara!  I am a Watertown native, and recently started sharing Core De Force and TurboKick here at Trend Fitness. I have 2 kids, and 2 goofy pugs who take up majority of my time, but when I have free time I enjoy bowling, walking, and staying active. I became a health and fitness coach with Beachbody two years ago when I stumbled upon the 21 day fix program a friend of mine was doing. I started, fell in love and got into the best shape of my life. I lost 35lbs and gained muscle strength like I never had before. I knew there was more I could be doing, so I took my love for dance and fitness and became a certified TurboKick instructor. I believe good nutrition and 30 min. of daily exercise will keep one fit and able to maintain energy levels. The more we move the more we burn calories. With a combination of education, motivation, consistency and the willingness to not give up you will be one step closer to reaching your goals.

I am a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM-CPT), a CrossFitTM
Trainer Level 1 (CF-L1) and a Licensed Massage Therapist with a passion to help people create lasting
changes.. My approach focuses on functional fitness methods, and I work with a multitude of clients whose

activity levels vary from a sedentary lifestyle to elite athletes.

For years, I suffered from a range of health issues including inflammation, imbalance, and obesity. I was a
full-time homemaker and business owner that neglected my own health. With the help of a personal trainer
and lifestyle coach, Chad Yonkus, I applied myself to holistic methods of wellness and was able to lose 60
pounds! I reshaped my body, mind, and spirit! After reclaiming my health, I now lead a life of vibrance and

vitality, and am honored to help others along their path.




Hi, my name is Jenell Valenzuela and I am a Certified Group Fitness instructor. I have been teaching classes since August 2015 at Trend Fitness. Melody and I have known each other for many years and

when she approached me asking to teach classes I was so excited. Being a registered nurse, wife and mother of two wonderful boys I was looking for a “fun” job and melody offered me that great opportunity. I love the positive environment of group fitness and being able to meet a wide variety of motivated individuals who are striving to be healthier! In August 2015 I started out by teaching

INSANITY LIVE classes which are my all-time favorite classes to teach and personal workout. I have now added cardio kickboxing, toning classes, and bootcamp classes to my experience. I really enjoy exercising with others and motivating people to push a little hard when I teach my classes.

Hi there! My name is Rachel Schroeder, and I am a 28 year old wife, mother, and dairy farmer. 

I developed a passion for fitness in 2013 when I knew I needed to make a major lifestyle change. Through healthy eating, running, and Zumba I was able to make a lot of positive changes to my body that reflected throughout my whole life. 

I met Melody in 2014 when I decided to take a bootcamp class at Anytime Fitness. Through her tough workouts and positive support I learned what it felt like and the importance of being "strong, not skinny."  It has been from then on that I wanted to encourage others in the same way as a fitness professional.

I am currently certified as a group fitness instructor, and I am studying to become a certified personal trainer. My fitness "passions" are long distance running, strength training, and bootcamp; however I enjoy participating in any fitness activity from biking to kickboxing to swimming. I completed my first sprint triathalon in 2016 at 18 weeks pregnant, and my future goal is to run a marathon. 

I absolutely love every aspect of Trend Fitness and those who participate in my classes. It is so rewarding to see people making positive lifestyle changes while having FUN working out with friends.

I am a Holistic Lifestyle Coach 1, Certified Natural Trainer, CrossFitTM Trainer Level 1, CHEKTM Exercise Coach, and

Licensed Massage Therapist. I have been a personal trainer and massage therapist since 2010. I graduated from East-
West Healing Arts Institute and I currently serve as an Eastern massage therapy instructor. I have developed a unique

wellness philosophy through a quest to optimize my body, mind and spirit to the ultimate capacity.
I have participated recreationally in various sports including football, baseball, volleyball, disc golf, Ultimate Frisbee,
mountain biking and rock climbing. I competed in the cycling and rugby circuits, and have trained many athletes of
varying skill and competitive levels. Through many years of doing bodywork and personal training, my philosophy is
to teach clients fundamental movements in concert with balancing the body through bodywork for optimal results.




My name is Sarah Zarling and I am super excited to be a part of the Trend Fitness family!

I am a certified Group Exercise Instructor and licensed Zumba Fitness Instructor. I also have several Zumba specialty licenses including Zumba Gold, Zumba Kids and Zumba Kids Jr., Zumba Toning, and Aqua Zumba. I’m also a Fitness Instructor for the Park and Rec and  work at the Y as both Group Exercise Instructor and Children's Program Instructor. Currently, my group fitness niche is in Senior Fitness and my preferred format of exercise is Circuit Training.

I love my job, the people I work with, and that my job doesn't feel like work!
